At his best Rogers is a brilliant player, a unique talent. At his worst, let’s be honest, he can look barely non league level.

Will be interesting to see how he does without Emery’s guidance and unconditional support.

As the winner of a european trophy, Rogers didn’t want to take a step backwards and join a club who couldn’t match that.

I don't think you get to put sell-on clauses into the contract of a £1117m sale!

Now that's a figure I could get on board with!

Thought we would only sell for £130 million?

I didn’t think that two of our scorers in the cup final would be dead to me within two months.

£117mil is fair enough - just as long as we don't get some waste of oxygen like Garnacho thrown in

The best player on the pitch is still here and under the radar.

Sigh.... Fuck off football.

People can try and cope all they like, this is fucking shit news.

It’s an interesting one, it’s not good news, but it’s one of those fork in the road moments. It’s a summer of upheaval, with our cup winners taken apart.

But being positive, we were very poor for large parts of last season and our strength in depth wasn’t there. This is a chance to improve aspects of the team. To improve and build a younger squad. I just hope we don’t waste this.

This is either the start of the end of the cycle, or the start of something even more exciting than the last few years. Over to you Unai and co.

Every fucking time every fucking time we stick our heads above the parapets they chop it off. Started with Yorke and Milner and Young and Delphi and Grealish and now Rogers. It’s an absolute skewed playing field.

Always the selling club! Nothing changes despite CL football.
