There was a moment when Bellingham received the ball in our half with a player at his back, Rogers was a few yards off and was open, all he had to do was play a simple pass to Rogers who would have had the whole pitch to run at, instead he tried a completely unnecessary flick to try and beat his man.

Dixon was a very good player, he's very uninspiring as a pundit though.

England felt a bit like us under Bruce, rely on your better players than the opposition to produce a bit of magic rather than look like a team playing for each other and to a well drilled in plan.

as was said, too many playing for themselves not the team. Bellingham Saka, Rashford O Riley.

I thought Anderson was excellent but had to cover a lot of ground.

The dickhead that is Lee Dixon kept taking the piss out of Watkins and 'will he' / 'won't he' come on and whether he'll get 5 or 6 minutes in the pitch.
He is an arch knob and simply fails to see the full picture: eulogising about Sakashite gives him away.

Yep, Dixon is a complete pratt. I mean, if you're going to take the piss out of Watkins, at least give some context (eg that Watkins isn't going to get minutes on the pitch whilst Kane still has eyes on the golden boot).

Tuchel looked very weak there. After it was 2-0, Kane had scored and the game was over. Why bother even leave him on after the goal with Ollie and Toney on the bench. Should have hooked him same time as Bellingham. All this talk that he wouldn't stand for what Martinez is putting up with Ronaldo, evidence suggests otherwise.

Thought Bellingham a) played very well and b) in doing so proved he's a central midfielder much much more than he is a 10.

Martinez is the President of the Ronettes, the Ronaldo Fan Club. he loves him almost as much as Ronaldo loves himself. A marriage made in hell. Tuchel is his own man and will be judged on his and his alone, decisions. He's anything but weak.

I agree, he was much better playing in that role. Much more involved and can actually tackle. He was very good last night.

I think he was simultaneously very good and showed the problem with him playing centre mid. He did loads, but he also vacated his position a lot which allowed Panama too much space on the counter.

Yep. Add to that the fact that him and Rice wouldn't really work together and our choice is to either abandon the 4231 that Tuchel seems to like or pick between the 2 and I just don't see either happening. I think he's definitely better as an 8 though.

He reminds me a bit of Pogba actually, a 3-man-midfield guy in a 2-man-midfield world.

Bellingham causes more problems to the team dynamic and balanced than he solves. Like others have noticed Rogers suffers from players either unwilling or unable to see the obvious pass into him. It happened all game. He also made countless runs beyond Kane but the ball never got played. So frustrating. FWatching England makes me even more thankful we have Unai.

But leaves Kane on to pad out his golden boot chances?
