So I check into the Morgan Rogers update thread and get three pages on disgusting licorice, smelly farts and other assorted unpalatable food. Anyone know what's happening with Morgan?

I haven't tried any of the liquorice liqueurs mentioned, but Captain Morgan's spiced rum is pretty rank.

Lots of links not much solid.

Arsenal on the back page of the mirror are after him, I have also read Liverpool, PSG and Real

One report suggests Man City is going to trigger the £80m buy back clause they have.  Which seems nice of us and Man City to have included that.

Apparently Boro are due 20% though.  Thats a chunky cut and diminishes the logic that we should cash in our chips.

I am going to ignore all rumours about Rogers leaving. Unless someone offers £160m it makes no sense business or financial to do a deal. With the cost of a replacement and the cut due to Middlesbrough it would be crackers.
Plus, he can play champions league football here, under the best manager in the world, fulfill his England ambitions and is close to home.
What can anyone offer him more than all that?

Virtually guaranteed trophies vs winning one every 30 years sadly (& probably a pay rise).

Same here. I'm a big fan of the 'Declan Rice to Madrid' rumours though.

I really do not see any reason as to why wealthy clubs will not be after Morgan. In fact if they are not INTERESTED they are useless twats. So this this bollocks in press about so and so are interested is not news.  However it's up to us if we want to do a deal and if so look at transfer fees in the past for players like Coutinho and Dembele etc., and go north of those numbers.

The Citeh buy back clause is now doing the rounds, it seems unlikely but not impossible.

How would it be possible? Middlesbrough had an agreement with Man City, we had an agreement with Middlesbrough.

There's no scenario where we had to agree something with Man City in order to sign him.

Morgan had better get working on his defending, if Arse are going to sign him.

You think, from here on, it's one trophy every thirty years and no pay rises?
