I can't even have aniseed medicine, it's truly vile.

I once had liquorice beef or duck or venison or something, and that was not nice.

Was the person serving it red with a pointy tail and horns?

I tell you what, was one of the worst meals I’ve ever had, and one of the most expensive.

It was at Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck. All very clever and all, but at some point you want to feel like you’ve been fed, not experimented on.

I wonder if aniseed is one of those things like coriander where certain people literally have a genetic configuration that makes it taste different and abominable to them. Certainly gets a strong reaction.

Me, I find liquorice often a bit much, but I love an aniseed spirit like pastis, rakia etc. And after partying in Istanbul, I wonder if Morgan now does as well.

I like aniseed and the liquorice allsorts with the blue and pink speckles on then. Not mad on the ones that are just plain liquorice, though.

Yeh and it’s the only way to really consume liquorice while wrapped in other tastier sugary products.

That’s a yellow, and possibly VAR turning it into a straight red.

Oi!  I'll have you know that the food of the devil is cheese and the drink is milk.
