£100m and I’d let him go.

The last 2 seasons have been mirror images as far as his performances.

Start off poor. Purple patch for a dozen games. Absolute dog shite for the final 4 months of the season.

I would be surprised if more then a couple of outfield players have beaten his minutes on the pitch last season and this. He is totally shot again as a player although last season we had Rashford and Asensio at least take some of the demand off. This season we haven't really had that. He should have been rested against Spurs and even against Burnley instead of doing it on the pitch.

I’m not a fan of how Emery constantly overplays him, to be honest.

Him, Tielemans and McGinn should be nowhere near the team on Friday. They all need a rest!

We've already played our league cards and failed twice.

We can't rest Tielemans and McGinn now.

When was his last good game?

He did get an assist and was heavily involved in another the other night.

He was extremely poor today. Needs a rest, but the way we have fucked up the last three league games means we can't rest him or anyone for Friday. So bloody infuriating to be in this position.

Rogers never gets a break. We looked leggy - people should realise what Thursday night took out of them, so not surprising. A point could still prove crucial.

Morgan Rogers isn’t an elite player. He can have elite moments. But for us to rely on him as an elite player I don’t think is fair. When he played with Asensio and Rashford, he wasn’t under the same pressure, scrutiny to perform, or attention by defenders. He needs help to get to a more consistent high level.

I think he is an elite player - but our over reliance on him is a drain on that.

He is the only effective runner we have in the entire midfield. No wonder he's knackered. Needs support bringing in this summer. Let's be clear, if it weren't for Morgan Rogers we'd be about 12th.

Aren't Morgan's running stats generally the highest as well? All the more baffling as to why he doesn't get rested just a little bit more.

Yep. He works bloody hard and he’s really bloody good, he has some off games but is always trying the high risk stuff - which is absolutely essential to us. Anybody who thinks he’s not up to much, doesn’t try, or we’d be better off cashing in is misguided in my view. We’d be massively weaker without him.
