We all know it’s true though. Release clause.  Fuck it anyway, he’s brilliant at the moment.  Let’s hope we actually win something this season.

I was thinking about his first goal. It isn’t exactly the same, but is similar to Doue’s goal against us for PSG, when he went past Rogers. You just see it and think, “world class”.
Good spot, that.

More generally for Rogers, the exciting thing may be that he is only just getting going on the goal scoring front.

The finish was similar to Grealish’ at Old Trafford.

Less than 3 months ago he was getting sarcastic cheers for completing a pass, and cheers when subbed. It's a funny old game, as Ghandi once said.

Yeah probably says more about those doing that I suspect.

Yeah, me and one other bloke near me were fuming at those fools.

I’m not saying they were right to cheer but he was pretty bad and offering very little. There were more than a few on here who suggested that he needed to be taken out of the first 11, for his and the teams sake. The most important person kept faith and that decision is looking very sound currently.

The frightening thing is his weaknesses are relatively easy to fix.  Add accuracy and guile to his passing and he’ll become more involved and teammates should have more space.

Hope we haven't undercooked his release clause. He's added £25m to his value since he signed the new contract a few weeks ago. Surely we'd want close to £150m.

"He became the first Villa player to score two goals or more in back-to-back Premier League appearances since Dion Dublin in November 1998."

Great for him but bloody hell, what a poor stat for us.

Thought the same, pretty shocking.
