He's a young man who needs a few games out the team. He'll be back.

You can't be a 10 if you're passing is as bad as his.

The oddest thing is Emery's insistence on playing him every minute of every game. It's beginning to look as if he (Emery) may be trying to prove something.

Having thrown Elliot under the bus and dropped him whilst Rogers wanders around giving the ball away.

There doesn't seem to be any in between with him. Almost Yaya Toure-esque 1 game then looking like Mr Magoo the next.

But his passing isn’t bad, he’s struggling for form. At least he’s still trying to make the passes. If Malen had finished better he’d have a couple of assists. It’ll come, but it’s not going to be helped by the crowd ironically cheering him.

The problem I have is if I were Elliott for instance, I'd be annoyed at the public comment last game when Rogers is clearly also struggling with those forward balls, well, even more so.

His rate will often be iffy as he tries the game changing attacking passes, which is fine. Problem is some of his basic passing has been cack this season.

I felt bad for the guy, was still trying but having an absolute mare. Looked like he wanted the ground to swallow him up. How he played the whole game is an absolute mystery.

It’s a tough one. You could equally say if Elliot had played instead of him we’d have hd a couple more goals.

I’ve been and still am  huge fan but today was the first time I’ve thought, this guy needs dropping.

Yeah, I have no issue with trying difficult passes. Bruno Fernandes always ends up being the player who gives away the ball the most in a season, but he is fluffing far too many 'simple' balls.

It is mate. Last season was similar, not as bad but similar and we masked over it because there were these moments of magic as well...right now there isn't any magic. Agree about the crowd, he'll feel like shit but now is the time to shut them up with a series of 8 out of 10's.

Another 90 minutes. No wonder he looks completely knackered.

He needs benching for a spell, for his good, the team’s good and Emery’s good. He’s meant to be the player who can make things happen and he’s doing that, unfortunately it’s for the opposition these days.
