he's crumbling under the pressure of being the main man. He looked decent when we had other creatives on the pitch Bailey Asencio Rash have left, Rogers now has to produce for Watkins on his own..and can't. . Grealo thrived being the main man for Villa but we're watching Rogers shit the bed. Easy to do flicks for England when youre playing dross like andora, and the england hype is adding even more pressure. the pundits callling him the new gascoinge is laughable. Arse or man city would take him out the firing line (foden often benched for long spells) but Villa keep hoping he'll toss one into the box like he did against bournmouth last season after another honking performance.

He needed rotating towards the end of last season, now he needs to be dropped completely.

Probably because enough players in the league last season though he hadn't been shit for ages. Those awards a for the season, not the calendar year.  He has been less of a player for some of the second half of the season, but his performances this season are significantly worse.

I do think we’re a bit at risk of drawing conclusion based on assumption. People assuming he wanted/wants to leave and therefore reading that into his performances.

It’s far more likely he’s a young player, facing his first big challenge and struggling a bit. Lack of confidence often looks like laziness, because players naturally don’t show for the ball as much or chase the ball as much.

I’ve said this about Ollie - every single player is underperforming, literally everyone. That’s far too many for it to be an individual player issue - even if some of those individuals would be out of form in a functioning side. I just think we need to be a bit careful about demonising Rogers for his attitude, because we don’t know and given everyone is playing poorly it’s probably far more about the wider issue/confidence than he can’t be bothered.

I wonder if the PSR, Martinez, Ramsey summer-shitbag has taken it's toll on some of them. Not making excuses, but there's something fishy gone on

Or......they do want to leave and what you are seeing is what you get, simple as.

It’s probably unlikely. Like I say none of us know for sure, but the fact it is all of them is a big flag it’s not about an individual or two wanting out. Also it’s a World Cup year and two of the players under scrutiny are currently competing for a spot, again highly unlikely they’re just disinterested.

Undoubtedly as they alluded to it enough times. Which I think is part of the problem. The collective sympathy they’ve had for themselves losing their mates, not getting their moves, not buying better players (how does that make our new signings feel) was/is pathetic. I’m over it.

These fuckers (players) need to pull their fingers out because I’m sick of hearing their bullshit.

I'm not sure playing two number ten's like he did today works. We badly lacked pace again.

It’s not players or manager (wider management structure). They all need to be better, the players absolutely need to take responsibility but the manager and his staff need to as well. The set-up of the team is not right, and if players aren’t doing the right things then do something about it. We keep going in with broadly the same team, playing the same way and then making changes at roughly the same time.

Especially when both number tens are not playing anywhere near good enough for this standard.
