Personally don’t see much point in extending for one year unless we are rectifying a dangerously low release clause.

In light of our recent travails in the transfer market, I don’t think it’s mental to imagine a scenario where he isn’t here for the duration of this new contract.

Genuine question because I've not noticed - are people also talking about McGinn leaving, aside from hopeful Celtic fans?

I hope Smithy's version of events a handfull of posts above transpires, but cynical old me accepts that it is likely that it won't.
