The barman who tried to get us to pack up singing was losing his mind, no idea what to do with about 100 Villa fans taking the piss. Never saw that barman again after that nightAlso the semi-final against Liverpool in the same cup run, where we nicked some bloke’s Liverpool flag (capture the flag!) who dared to venture into the Swiss Cottage after the match and walked into a wall of Villa fans off here, all hammered and loving the fact we had a pet Liverpool fan to play with. And let’s not forget the burning of the half and half scarf after the final. Got very lord of the flies, that.

Blurry memories of some mildly concerned Arsenal fans. Then it git even more blurry. Edvard was also there?
This is a terrible shock to all of us who knew Stu and absolutely devastating for Vicky, Charlie and Spencer. Stu was a lovely person, caring, a proud father, an entertaining companion, a regular at the Barton's who always used to come over for a chat. He wrote excellent articles for Heroes & Villains, many with the title "I'll tell you what else I don't like" (it was a long list!). He was one of the best of many talented contributors to the fanzine - perceptive, imaginative, fluent and extremely witty - and also produced brilliant satirical pieces for our family on the occasion of my 70th and my brother's 75th birthdays. He will be greatly missed.
I’m another WHO NEVER met him but it felt like I knew him from his involvement on here. Very, very sad. RIP.

Weird place H&V. I don’t know any of you but when someone departs it still feels like a friend has gone. RIP stu.
