Just had a quick Google and West Ham played Olympiakos in Europa this season. They had nothing on their shirts when they played in Greece. So I assume we'll be Acorns all the way to the final.

(West Ham beat them 1-0 at home and lost 2-1 in Greece)

I was looking online to see if we have ever played olympiakos and this looks like the 1st ever meeting between the clubs
Just one preseason friendly in August 1981, a 1-1 draw, Shaw the scorer.

Thought this would be fairly easy to get to, but i'm struggling to find flights for a decent price, currently only 1 direct flight out of London on the Wednesday....retun flight about £480. Anyone got a more creative way of getting there? Went on a coach to Lille as 2 of my kids came so kept the cost down for them....NEVER AGAIN! no fault of the organiser, but i'm to old to be sleeping on a crowded coach with my legs in the aisle, esepically after missing the midnight ferry home due to ET and the police keeping us in...next one was 4am.  Although the quick turnaround prevented getting me from getting back on the beer so that meant no hangover for the first time on this European adventure.

We played Olympiacos in the NextGen tournament. Think it was the year we won it.

About 100 of their fans came over and were very noisy. Impressive for a youth match.

I don't see why they haven't announced the sales dates for the home leg yet, it's not like they didn't know when it was going to be if we got through

That would be family ! The Greeks look after each other and supportive of each other.
I like how traditional they are.

You do know it's already sold out and flogged all tickets including season tickets for hospitality packages

If they were being traditional, shouldn't they have all climbed into a wooden horse and waited outside the ground until someone pulled it into the centre circle?

Their youngsters have just comfortably beaten Milan 3-0 in the final of the 'EUFA Youth League', version of the NextGen.

I really like the commentator in these youth games. Not sure of his name, but he is always good value.

Train strikes announced around the dates of the away tie. As most will be coaching or flying, I suspect it will just be getting to airports which might be an issue for us lot. Might affect the Brighton game as well.

I was on that coach too.

I packed a blanket and pillows and was absolutely fine to be honest.  Though was so relieved to get home!

Think you were on the same excursion to Lille as me Liam. Thought it was very good VFM, but I did sleep for about 3/4 hours each way. Definitely take this option for another Western Europe adventure.

Not doing Olympiacos , but having paid quite a lot of attention to the affected dates/flights for the final, against my usual cautious/thrifty nature I've booked the potential final flights today. That is definitely on the upswing price wise, especially as the week/weekend is halfterm. A few of our potential group have dropped out because of the cost or the amount of days involved to keep the cost down. We're doing 4 nights, worse case scenario we'll head across to Marathan for beach side after a day in Athens. Plenty of accommodation available but there's not an endless supply or capacity UK direct to Athens.

Got flights for around £265 for the semi final out of Manchester. Going to Tuesday to Sunday with the Kopites being a Monday. Hot tub apartment! Very much looking forward to seeing the city.
