Those moaning about a tough month need to point me towards a month that has not been tough this season? This is what success will look like if we want it. We ned to prepare for it and deal with it. It's not any easier in the Champions League, so we need to learn how to cope with that by playing these lesser teams in the UECL.

Probably the toughest draws we could have got. And bith legs away 2nd leg
Nah, that would've been Fiorentina, well piss this.
I hope so because the winner of fenebache vs olympiakos 2nd leg goung there that both very hostile places to go. If our players thought legia was bad these two are on another level
What was bad about Legia away?
We lost and the players implied they struggled with the atmosphere

Would have been good if at least one of the games was at home 2nd leg but to get shafted on both is abit annoying
That's total rubbish, no player said that. Those of us who were there can confirm that it actually wasn't that intimidating. Just moronic constant singing.

To be fair, it is better than supporting from thé Balti pie stand or halfway down the Lichfield road while 'beating the' traffic.

As I mentioned in reply to you elsewhere on a similar claim of losing in Legia. We lost because we had a weakened defence with Chambers as right back and Lenglet getting his debut. So we were slower then normal and pretty much all three goals can be laid at Chambers to some extent. Once he was swapped for Cash,  we still had the better chances to equalise at the then but for Ramsey pulling wide, Diaby scuffing and Tielemans hitting the side netting instead of crossing for Watkins.

We were just about favourites prior to the draw. Has that changed at all now the routes and likely opposition is known.

Still favourites at 7/4, followed by Fiorentina (3/1), Lille (9/2), and Fenerbahce (6/1).

This is with UK bookies who will be weighted towards English team as that's where the local money goes, it doesn't represent the chances of winning.

These tough games wont be good for us in league. Not sure how we gonna cope playing a tough Thursday game and then a game on sunday

Yeah, might as well not bother with it and give Lille a bye!

Not what i said at all but ill break it down for you so you understand.

April we have a significant amount of fixtures, if i had choice id rather for these round have got PAOK brugges or  vitoria to help with the packed april calender. Now we have tough games stacked in-between with a already fractured squad with injuries.

Hope that clears up your confusion 🙂

No confusion at all.  As a club, we surely want to be competing at the top end of the table and in the latter rounds of competitions?  If we do, then that is going to mean additional fixtures in the last months of the season.

I understand that there might be a concern about additional fixtures leading to a drop off in performance and results, but I think it's great that we are in the QF of a European competition and in the mix for a Champions League spot.  Certainly beats languishing in mid-table in the Championship!!

Plus, the deeper you go in cup competitions the quality of the opposition tends to improve, although it's easy to forgive us Villa fans for not realising this.

I was just about to book on Steve Gough's coach to Lille. Having done Legia, Alkmaar and Ajax away a ticket is secure.

I was just about to pay him and then I realised the date after the away leg rang a bell!

It's only my fucking driving test date.

And with the COVID backlog they are like gold dust!

Fuck!!

With that in mind I've booked Athens flights at £200 return (just incase) before those prices go through the roof!
