There’s something very weird about the Maccabi Tel Aviv and Olympiakos tie. Absolutely hammering each other away from home.

Although you have no idea on the teams used for both legs. If we were 4-1 from the first leg, the fans would have been demanding a second string squad. Also Maccabi Tel Aviv are not exactly playing at home so I don't know how much of a home atmosphere is generated.

From the point of view of one eye on the leagues, I'm hoping for Bruges and Lille so travel times are reduced before league matches.

League matches after the tie.

Arses away, Bournemouth home.

Fenerbahçe
Fiorentina
PAOK Salonika
Viktoria Plzen
Aston Villa
Club Bruges
Lille
Maccabi Tel-Aviv/Olympiakos

Viktoria plazen for me please. Id prefer to avoid fenebache and Fiorentina but you know we will draw one of them.

Hoping for a fenebache vs fiorentina QF gamsle get one of them out

Same here. The only problem with Bruges is that the locals will be asking why so few travelled from Birmingham this time.

We want to avoid playing PAOK or Olympiakos in the final. So draw them against each other and leave them in our side of the draw for a two leg semi.
Don't want either in a one off final with them having "home" advantage.

As we won't be talking about our away allocation it seemed pointless adding it

I've been to two matches at Fiorentina and, although it is obviously a truly, staggeringly beautiful city, the stadium is a terrible place to watch football. It's bad enough in the home end, but the away end will be like that caged enclosure at Mostar, only a bit bigger, and probably further from the pitch.
