I still find it really odd that they choose a venue with only 27000 seats for a final.

Like Rotterdam in '82, why must we play our finals in tin-pot stadiums?

Not odd at all. Greece FA is part of UEFA, Athens is a major city, Greek football is significant at European level so it’s right that a final should be staged there. It’s a pity that they don’t have a stadium with larger capacity. However some years ago there was UEFA cup final staged at Villa park and two clubs involved did not sell their allocation.

Cup Winner's Cup, not UEFA Cup.

Holds 32,500 and is only 18 months old so not tinpot in that regard, even if its capacity is only half that of SHA's new stadium.

Having never been to Lille, please can anyone provide some recommendations for nice city centre pints in the day time?

Just head for the main square. It’s a beautiful and compact city and well worth spending a few hours wandering around.

With...who? Dicky Dunne and Brian Kerr giving their half-researched clichéd wisdom on how we should have played? Feck off, the pair of yis.

I was there for the Ireland - Italy game in Euro 2016. Although regarded as one of the less attractive French cities I thought it was really nice.

Been emailed a voucher for Lille away from the club this afternoon, with a barcode within. Assuming this will hopefully speed up the collection process.

Let’s hope so that was an hour of drinking time we lost in Amsterdam.

Yeah was queue-tastic. I think its more drink in the square in Lille speaking to Evertonians. Cheap cans ahoy.
