No-one on the ITV coverage seemed to pick up.on that one. Too busy talking about Man Yoo I suppose.
Chappers did on 5live.
Started the run through if key ties with Maidstone & Micah Richards just interrupted with how that was a terrible draw and not a key tie at all. Chappers pointed out that as the lowliest team left in the competition it was a key tie whoever they drew and sarcastically asked Micah if it was OK for him to continue. Then when Chappers mentioned the potential Black Country derby he asked Micah if he was ‘allowed’ that one.
Also - Micah & whoever else going on about Eastleigh or Newport v Man U, & Chappers (who is a Man U fan) pointed out that they were both being pretty disrespectful to Wigan.
All v tetchy for a few moments.
It reminded me a bit of when Scott Mills announced he had died as a joke when they were working togather on Radio 1. When Scott Mills mentioned it a few weeks later when Chappers was back on air, Chappers said something like ‘I’d stay quiet about that if I were you as I’d like to remind you it’s now a HR issue’
