I only saw the last 25 minutes or so but as far as I could see we were in total control.

Everton will not be a push over.
Strongest XI required. It certainly isn't a game for rotation, that was today.

After Everton, they have two weeks off.  We are fine.

Not any more we don’t!

I think we do Amfy. The weekend after is blank rather than the fourth round, which is around the 27th I believe.

Fourth round games are played on the weekend of the 27th I reckon, mate.

I am probably wrong of course!

No you’re right. Which is a fortnight, as usav said.

It’s the winter break.

It was to make a free weekend in January for a 'winter break'

Controlled the game. Increasingly frequent how often we face these ambitionless low block sides that sit in. Brentford, Luton, Forest, Sheffield United, Burnley and while understandable for a midtable 2nd division side, it is generating a need for a lot of patience.

Plenty of chances to win the game comfortably, Konsa and his header was a whisker away, their keeper made a pair of good saves, while Moreno ought to have had the most stick on penalty you'll see. The referee was abysmal.

Thought Duran didn't occupy the centre halves enough and McGinn isn't a 10.

Our subs were a significant upgrade in quality and goal always felt like it was coming to me. Funny how the very best sides consistently find a way and late on in games.

We miss Yuri and his excellent ability to pick a pass to make these games more comfortable.

A big lump to fire crosses into the box or a Grealish type to draw men on would help going forwards, but that's probably a longer term build.

First time hearing a new SUE song yesterday, how long has that been in circulation as don’t remember hearing it against Burnley?

For those old enough it was similar to 4th Rd v Sheff Utd away in 1996.

We were the better team in a season where we were doing well and they were doing well.

I hear Dion (who we all like) saying things like '....not moving the ball forward quick enough...' Sometimes but that isn't our game. Its about craft, guille and presicison.

DD the game has moved on in the last 5 years let alone 20 years ago when you were playing

I thought that when Dublin was going on about Emi standing with his foot on the ball. "What's he doing?!" Watched us a lot recently have you, Dion?

I want to like Dion Dublin, but his commentary makes me think he knows feck all / wants to sound like the other pundits.  He’s my least favourite and that’s weird given his connections. Same with Hendrie.

I don’t mind. Dublin was a great player for Villa and a decent guy. I don’t care if he talks shit.

I like the guy but he's a truly awful co-commentator in a strong field.

Did we hit the post too?

Or did I dream that?

Are you referring to the Mrs Robinson tune? If so, then I first heard it in Mostar I think.
