Cash’s hit was going top bins anyway.

It was top right. And the goalie was nowhere.
like the one he scored on Soccer am

Another positive by the sounds of it; Dutch commentary. They hardly spoke during the game, let you watch in peace but did call out the Moreno penalty.
they were probably all sharing a joint

How the fuck did we end up with 5 yellows to their 1? Another shocking referee to add to the ever expanding list.

Very tricky match, Chelsea won't find it that easy to break Boro down.

Just glad to get it done without a replay.

I haven't read the thread yet, and it was a shit game, but I watched us and saw players who can do things that even a couple of years ago would've been a million miles away. I normally find it less stressful to listen on the radio and follow the scorchios on here, but we're a genuinely good team, which hasn't happened for ages.

Two were deserved and idiotic. Cash stupidly going to ground twice in a minute when no need. He won't have a future under Emery if he keeps doing that. Zaniolo was fortunate their defender skipped around him when he lunged in somewhat two footed. A moment of madness. The others we got were for "dissent"...blatant fouls not given by the ref and he books our players for complaining.

Deserved to win

Hard watch

Happy enough.

5 x 1.0 in this competition will suit me great

6 surely? I don’t want to go to another final unless we win. Too depressing.

A painful win but we’re in the draw. Certainly need a spring back in our step mind. Those heady autumnal heights against Brighton, West Ham etc seem a distant memory.

We are that stronger club.
Get a grip!

In the nicest possible way, of course.

Of what exactly?

I always wonder when people say this to me...

I just don't like the narratives created by the media.

That’s fair; I don’t like them, either.
It’s why I responded in the way I did, to your post.

I read the last line as a complaint about how clubs outside ‘The Big Six’ are commented about, by professional commentators and pundits.

I agree, and thought your post was accurate about the past but I disagreed with your complaining about the narrative around losing when we are now in a far better position. Hence, GAG! 😃
That’s it, PP; up the Villa!

It was always going to be hard work and so it proved. These kind of games always are. We did ok.

Be nice to watch the 4th round draw for a change.  Had to work hard for it
It'll be about 10:30 am in BC.

Dreadful, awful game but the result is all that matters.
