Definitely the right decision to cancel the North Stand rebuild, Villa Park without that seething cauldron of noise doesn’t bear thinking about.

haha

I’m at the game and that’s the least I’ve ever celebrated a goal. Been watching since 1972😡
Var is rubbish

Same here, it’s killed the atmosphere.

Anyway we need another to calm things down, they will feel they can get something from this.

The fact that we haven’t been able to put out our established back 4 isn’t helping at all. And that goes for our midfield too that don’t have the same connection as the combined unit that propelled us to the top 3 in the league. Everything feels a little off.

Feels like the first few games of the season where we hadn't quite clicked yet.

Yep.

Which makes Torontos point all the stronger.

When we played poorly at the start of the season, the defence was getting used to each other in Emerys system.

Same thing again with Cash, Torres, Mings, Digne & Kamara out, with Konsa pushed over to RB.

Thats pretty much the whole defence in new positions or new to the system with their new partner.

It's no wonder there is confusion & a similarity to the beginning of the season.

But Spurs have a load of players missing, apparently...

That is half the problem with it they’re looking for every reason to disallow goals rather than just looking for blatant non goals.

Yep although they probably need to think about the intent of the offside rule. It has to be an absolute thing, but is it actually based on the attacker having an advantage. Because the Burnley non-goal was purely a technical offside, he didn’t gain any advantage.

Second goal looked miles offside from where I'm sat, in line with Watkins. I didn't get up from my seat.

Both full backs were playing him on, was tight but Watkins was looking along the line at the left back and arced his run perfectly.

Had a tenner on Bailey first scorer at 7/1 so that’s nice.

Did you see that Baggies fan on Soccer Six who had Sheff Utd to beat us, 0-1 and Archer to score? £25 bet and stood to win thousands. His tears where very bitter.

Yeah definitely - without Kamara, Torres, and to an extent Digne we look like we can be good at. Kamara is massive because he allows Doug and SJM to use their energy in a better way. Without him we look laboured.

Not great but the goal before HT should settle us down a bit. Watkins did very well for both goals

I kind of feel for them, if they miss something against one of the wankstain clubs there's a 45 minute analysis of it in the studio after the game.

Honestly we've looked pretty bad! But winning, hopefully we can build on it this time.

Watching MatchDay Live. Apparently Man City are now 2 points back of Liverpool, and level on points with Arsenal as it stands.

Scored twice and had a lot of possession, but just been a bit of a struggle.  Don't know what is wrong with Moreno, just doesn't look interested and I thought he was the same when came on at Old Trafford.

All in all we did dominate first half except ten minutes after our first, Watkins , Bailey and Diaby good for the goals and in general good attacking play against a team that are not parking the bus so much as Sheff U did. Need to take control of the game now - that is the challenge after last game.

Had him first and 2-1 win scorecast. Hoping for a boring goalless second half!!
