Did Moreno do enough to put Digne under pressure for his spot? Asleep for their goal but made up for it with the equaliser.

Going forward I think he's brilliant, I don't think Digne scores that goal or gets in the positions Moreno does in the first half (even though he should do better with his shots). He also has the burst of pace to get back into defensive positions but he was very poor for there goal, maybe due to a lack of match sharpness.

I think the shirt is probably still Digne's at the moment as he has been very consistent but what an option Moreno is to bring on when the opposition are tired.

Emery will rotate Dinge and Moreno. He did it last season, it was always one of the first changes (when both we fit).

We are going to have a busy second half to the season, so it's a good position to be in - Worked ok for Saunders with Williams/Gibson.

Thought the commentary and analysis on MotD was pretty much spot on.
Overall yes I agree apart from one thing. Shearer and Wright invoked the ex players union rule of sticking up for one of their own but in this case one who definitely needs to be called out for the nasty pos he really is. Ben Mee. Wrighty said " that was his first sending off since 2013 he's not a bad lad" or words to that effect. No one on the panel of ex footballers called him out for what it is. He's dished out several serious injuries, our own Wesley and Liverpools Joe Gomez spring to mind. Brentford clearly decided to add a nasty streak to their game by bringing in Mee and Joe Gomez. Their floppy haired twat of a manager said it wasn't a sending off so he's in a minority of one and can go fuck himself. Brentford fans on their forum saying they can't wait to play us again so they can dish out some stick to Watkins, Konsa and Martinez. Bring it on.

Richard Keys accusing Ollie of incitement, the fucking bitter Coventry ******.

Well... I mean it was that moment that kind of kicked the brawls off...I entirely get why Ollie did what he did, and it clearly aimed at that one home fan. But there's always going to be a siege mentality thing going on with things like this: a dig at one is a dig at all, fans and players. I imagine that at the start of the match OW would have thought to probably stick to the protocol of keeping celebrations muted if he should score against a former club. Perhaps it may have been better to just ditch that and celebrate the goal like he would have any other

Only knew the result late on Sunday as had to work all day - did laugh at the sports headline on TalkSport - the comment was "it has been a good weekend for Arsenal"

Seemed to pass the media by that we could well be top of the league on Friday - and if the Arsenal game is a draw then on top for Christmas... only been mentioned on here.

Top of the form table - playing three poor teams over Christmas... the old Aston Villa would probably get 3 points!

I can't work out, having just watched the incident again on the club site higlights, exactly why Unai got booked. He just seems to be trying to keep the peace, pulling his own players away from the fire

Probably because he was on the pitch.

He's on the pitch, and he shouldn't be. Yes, he's trying to calm things down, but he's basically in the middle of it with, I think, a hand on an opposition player at one point.

We can potentially still go top even if Liverpool beat Arsenal - We just need to sink a cricket score against Sheffield Utd.

I can remember a time when we struggled to play against 10 men more than we did 11
So it’s good that we have now learnt to turn that advantage into a positive result this time

He got booked for trying to control his players and next we'll be fined for NOT controlling them!

They don't watch him every match so would only go on his disciplinary records. As today showed, he seems to have a dark streak that allows him to do dangerous tackles that only gets a yellow, if that. The scissor on Wesley wasn't even given as a foul. They both stated Bailey was lucky but no-one really picked up that Mee didn't need to make that challenge and any non-psycho would have just ensured he stopped the break by standing Bailey up or getting the other side of him. Instead he decided he needed to stop our most dangerous and in-form player by sending him home in an ambulance. Yep psycho behaviour.

Edit: Mee and Neil Maupay. Lol.
