I'm glad we've got a couple of easy-looking home games Over Christmas as Ramsey and Moreno are going to need time to get match-sharp. God knows what's happened to Diaby as he was woeful today. Torres get better with every game though, and good to see Ollie back in the goals. I'm glad we've got Luiz and Digne back on Friday, with hopefully Tielemans as well as he's going to have to play the Kamara role now.

Can’t beat a shit house win on the road. Time for a pint surrounded by plastic scousers 78 miles from Anfield. I can feel myself itching already.

The way we had to dig that victory out will help us much more in the long run than a routine win would have, even with a three game ban for Kamara.

I think Diaby is just having a hard time with the limited space he’s getting in the PL. Opposing teams know to close him down or the space behind him. We need to find a way to get him the ball faster and in areas where he can run at the defenders. His future form is as much down to tactics as his own ability to learn and develop.

Trouble with Villa is we can't win away, definitely can't win at Brentford, are shit against 10 men, and struggle to get anything when we go behind.
Unai the myth buster.

We did miss the controlling influence Douglas Luiz has in midfield.

Good attempt from Bailey, but you're not going to beat the best keeper in the world from that distance.

I missed the game! Why did Torres go off? Tactical? Anyway, another win which is brilliant.

I think with Diaby aswell, it would help if we could actually score the first goal away from home and get the opposition to open up. They were so deep today, and got even deeper after scoring, Torres was practically playing as an Attacking MF second half.

Yeah, tactical. 2-1 up against ten men, with their sole attacker being that muppet Maupay. Surprised he didn't take Emi off as well. (Might have been an idea if he had!

Excellent win. Respect Brentford for how they've been run over the last five years, but what a dirty side they are.

You can't beat winning ugly, and pissing off those Brentford twats is a bonus.
We're second. Holy shit. Second!
