Is it possible that this investment will contribute to the ground re-development meaning that money the club might have had to spend on this could effectively be freed up for FFP purposes for increased wages/transfer fees? Asking for a friend.
No.
Has no bearing on FFP except if the improvements increase revenue and profitability then that improvement can be applied to the playing staff.

Thanks.
Couldn't their investment come as a massive sponsorship? Thereby coming in as earnings ;-)
It has worked for Citeh.

I think it's going to be way harder to take that fiddle route in future, and wouldn't be surprised if that was the core of several of those 115 charges.

That was my point 👍
The problem is that none of their Businesses have UK activity, but the NBC or Comcast Stadium would grant them exposure in the US (PL games are broadcast on NBC) market not that they need that.

Other than Comcast owning Sky?

Good point, but can you imagine Sky sponsoring Villa?
We might get some favourable coverage.

Well the former Director of Football at Sky is a Villa fan, he's now Director of Future Sport, Barney Francis.

Not that it is likely to happen but Comcast on our kits in the CL next season would be rather nice.

Yeah, the corporate dream!

I’m excited by this.  I used to love Space Invaders especially destroying the blue ships.

A word of warning, Id guess that if we are being backed by a US TV company, any slight sniff of another Euro Super League and they will be all over it.

And Universal who have just announced a new adventure park. Unfortunately it is in Bedford where I think they could have done something up around the NEC / Airport in Brum which would have helped the airport and HS2 stuff.

and it looks like the ESL could be back on the table soon given todays court ruling
Uefa and Fifa rules banning clubs joining breakaway competitions like the European Super League are unlawful, the European Court of Justice has ruled.

Makes no differencetp English clubs due to 3 reasons:
1. Fans don't like it.
2. Premier League Charter put in place after the last ESL insurrection.
3. The  new Independent Regulator.

With the news that UEFA FIFA have lost legal monopoly  over  football competition, the Super League in some form is now back on.

Interesting watch, especially the view that the points deduction punishment for Everton can be seen as setting a precedent in relation to other investigations (Man City, Chelsea)
