Pardon me for finding a positive in a win. Tough crowd.

Jenas has said that we were not that impressive and only just got over the line.

The same Jenas who once said he played at Villa with Jack G....he would have been around 11 at the time....clown

I didn’t see the whole match live but watched the recording later on, having heard how we were totally under the cosh in the first half.

It wasn’t what i expected to see - yes they had more of it than we did but we too had our chances and scored.  It could have been 4-4 at half time.

Not our greatest 45 minutes but hardly the Alamo.

The media distortion field that kicks in with spurs is laughable.

Oh and yeah Postecoglu seems a decent type but they’ll be eighth and calling for his head soon enough.

It was a close game to be fair and one we could've lost on another day.  A real shame for the lilywhites.

I noticed when we played them on New Year’s  Day how many Korean fans there are at Spurs but saw even more yesterday - I reckon that 10% of Spurs fans yesterday were Korean - flags everywhere, train back into London packed with them as well. Europe’s largest Korean community is in SW London so not a surprise.

Also, noticed lots of Villa fans in the home end(s) as well, most of them going yampy at the final whistle.

You get an entirely different perspective watching the game back when you know the final score though.

Put on SSN at 8am to see what they said of the match. After 15mins of gushing about the ManUre goal y-day… “join us after the break to see what positives Ange can take out of the loss to (checks notes) Aston Vila”.
Nice angle to take, not how well Villa are doing to be 4th and 2 points off the top.

We're fourth at the end of November, which is great for us, but what do you expect the rest of the world to do beyond shrugging?

It was the fact their focus was on Spuds rather than on us who actually won the match and perhaps to.talk about the great job Emery has done so for, for example.

They certainly looked more dangerous than us first half but a lot of that was skewed by the 'no instant flag' rules, if the lino would have flagged all the offsides immediately it would have looked a more balanced half.

No Zaniolo or Chambers in the 20. Iroegbunam in though. Didn't hear about either Z or C being injured. Does rather hint at UE's plans for January...

Zaniolo limped off during the Italy Ukraine game. Didn't look too serious but he did have what looked like an ice pack on his inner thigh after the game. Same thigh that's been taped up for several games before now. So I'd say his absence is more indication of that than of Emery's January plans.

As well as three points, we added +3 on them in getting offside decisions as well. And it shows the difference between masters and apprentices being as their offsides were called on the pitch and VAR confirmed in seconds, and our disallowed goal was so tight, it took several minutes and Watkins having big feet to be given.

I was in Korea when Wolves played Spurs and the country came to standstill

Son is Bobby Charlton, Beckham and Kane rolled into one in terms of popularity

Yep, they hardly metioned us at all, just a very brief sentence of how many wins we've had in the last few games. Fuck 'em, when we beat Arsenal and Man City they'll soon start to wake up.

Well that has upset the Sky love in with Spurs

Not really - by and large the way it’s being discussed you’d either think they’d won or we had absolutely robbed them.

Didn't we repeatedly catch Son offside in the last game at VP aswell?

Three wins against them this calendar year, two in their own back yard and also two with Saint Harry still playing for them.
