One of them even railing at our "morbid accent".

They all sound like fucking Adele.

So is that better sounding than her singing voice or much the same?

Come on don't lower ourselves . Let's respect things. We don't like people making fun of Emery accent.  So let's not get into accents.
Face it, Spurs, we have Pretty Emery, they have Peter Andre, and the tactics they used showed
They'll drop down the league now anyway. Losing to Manchester City, West Ham, and Newcastle next. Son should come to us next season when we in Champions League.
Aussie Rules style of play way they haphazard approach things.
Won't challenge the elite like Villa.

Garth Crooks , Danny Murphy can you hear me ?

Well said Footy, no need to take the piss out of their accents when they provide so much other, better material to work with.

He slid in a bit late and caught the player, it happens dozens of times every weekend. He wasn't out of control, and didn't have his feet off the ground, studs up or trying a Ben mee scissor tackle. It was just a bit late, and he was rightly booked for it, but that's absolutely all it was. If their player isn't robust enough to withstand it, then that's not our fault, any more than it was the opposition's fault that Jacob Ramsey came back a bit early and got injured again.

He didn’t slide in with a foot attempting to sweep the ball away, the ball had already been played, so either too slow or Bentancur too quick but it was a high challenge above the shin pad, lucky and if the boot was on the  other foot we’d be talking about it as a contentious decision. You obviously think different.

The way some of them are calling Matty Cash out as a 'thug' is bizarre.

5 full pages of them calling him a ******.

One of them on there suggesting that Cash should have taken it easy on a player who has been out for a long time. I'm not sure that's quite how football works.

Don’t agree, obviously, with the taking it easy comment, if he’s fit enough to play he’s fit enough to be tackled, but imo it was a shit challenge by Cash and a harsher punishment wouldn’t have been unwarranted in the current climate of everything being micro analysed by VAR.

It was a classic yellow card and nothing more.

Just found it on Twitter, imo they’ve got cause to want a harsher punishment. It was a bit of a ‘reducer’ challenge. Not that I care, I just disagree with a few of you,

Was anybody seriously asking that to be a red?  Even VAR (who look at anything) ignored it. The only way that would be contentious was if there wasn’t a booking. Even the spurs players only really got aggrieved by it a few minutes later when it transpired that he was injured.

It was a bad challenge but not a red for me, probably a yellow with ref telling him that he’s ‘on a tightrope’. I was slightly pleased that one of ours did give one of theirs a kick at that point, I thought they were far from gentle with our lot in the first 30 mins. Didn’t want to see him go off injured mind.

I've seen it on Twitter, and it's just a late sliding challenge. His foot is back ready to make the challange when the ball is still at the end of the Spurs' player's foot. It was worth a yellow card, because that's one thing you get yellow cards for, late challenges. It wasn't out of control, or two footed or anything else that would make it dangerous, it really was just late.

Sorry but i can't agree with most of this. Risso is spot on, it was a bang-on 100% yellow card tackle, late but not dagerous or reckless or with any intent to hurt someone, just a little late.

Compare Cash's tackle to Mee's on Wesley a few years ago and Mee didn't even get booked.

Was a bad tackle for sure by Cash, bit high and nowhere near the ball. He paid for it by getting hooked at half time. Bit of previous there with Spurs as he made bits of Matt Doherty previously, from memory that was a lot worse.

I didn't hear that at all! He was pretty much smirking in his comments when the equaliser went in.
Yes exactly. You wouldn't expect anything else from a Villa fan and ex Arsenal player. Sometime we on here dream up grim reapers unnecessarily.

Not a thug in a classic sense but he just lacks footy intelligent. Seemed to take out his frustration on understanding football on a player who has been out for 9 months.
The tackle was pointless by him to be fair.

And Bentencur going off contributed to our win...so at least Cash did something positive.  If we want to be top dogs we have play like it and use very tool available to us.

I didn’t say there was an intent to cause injury, just that he was slow to get there and was a poor challenge. It looked like a challenge born of frustration to me, maybe a red would have been harsh so one of those amber cards that pundits talk about. I’m obviously on my own! 😁

Edit. I’d also say, as I said earlier, given the way VAR is and some of the shit decision for every team I'm surprised there wasn’t more made of it.

Don't you love it when opposition fans make comments like this, better than last season when we also beat them:

"One thing I will say is, how different was this game to when they beat us last season 2 nil. We were an embarrassment that day. It was pure Conte shite. Today we looked a completely different side. I’m taking that positive."

And they also think this was the best they have played this season. So not quite good enough to beat the Villa. ;D
