The way some of them are calling Matty Cash out as a 'thug' is bizarre.
They hae been very salty about him. Apparently they recall a challenge on Doherty at VP last season wchi htook him out afor several weeks.

Pau’s celebration for his goal was very Platoonesque, absolutely wonderful.
Yes Bren! I was raving about his celebration to my son, loved it!!

It reminds me of games in the past when we have played well against good teams for 45 minutes, not made the most of it and end up losing when they improve in the second half.

Yeah very true.

He slid in a bit late and caught the player, it happens dozens of times every weekend. He wasn't out of control, and didn't have his feet off the ground, studs up or trying a Ben mee scissor tackle. It was just a bit late, and he was rightly booked for it, but that's absolutely all it was. If their player isn't robust enough to withstand it, then that's not our fault, any more than it was the opposition's fault that Jacob Ramsey came back a bit early and got injured again.
He didn’t slide in with a foot attempting to sweep the ball away, the ball had already been played, so either too slow or Bentancur too quick but it was a high challenge above the shin pad, lucky and if the boot was on the  other foot we’d be talking about it as a contentious decision. You obviously think different.
Nah, Bent, it really wasn't a harsh tackle by any measure. Late? Clumsy? - Yes. Dangerous / reckless? - definitely not.

Not great maths Footy, and also I’m making my own judgement not being sucked in by the “media portrayal”. They played well today, with a lot of injuries. I’m fully aware how good Emery is, which is an entirely separate point.

5 full pages of them calling him a ******.

One of them on there suggesting that Cash should have taken it easy on a player who has been out for a long time. I'm not sure that's quite how football works.

Don’t agree, obviously, with the taking it easy comment, if he’s fit enough to play he’s fit enough to be tackled, but imo it was a shit challenge by Cash and a harsher punishment wouldn’t have been unwarranted in the current climate of everything being micro analysed by VAR.

It was a classic yellow card and nothing more.

Just found it on Twitter, imo they’ve got cause to want a harsher punishment. It was a bit of a ‘reducer’ challenge. Not that I care, I just disagree with a few of you,

And "a classic yellow" these days is normally a red.

I'd be giving it all levels of fuck off if it had been a red, but I'd also be pretty angry if (eg) Porro had gone all in on Jacob Ramsey, just back from injury and messed him up.

Obviously, it's a matter of national distress that Spurs are carrying a bigger injury list than the British army after the first day of the Battle of the Somme, and thus requires hushed reverence for the title-chasing cockneys, but once you get over all that, that was a great result for us.

Definitely and the way Emery changed it at half time was massive.

Was it Cash in midfield or wingbacks and three CM's at the back? Either way I suspect he might have been trying something to throw Spurs plans and to impose something on the wings but failed.
