Even though we lost, I must say Torres looks such a good player. He really does have a presence about him.

Forest hadn't won for 7 fucking games yet they beat us comfortably.

We are improving in that there's no doubt but we are still a major work in progress.

We need to be honest with ourselves after that result.
No we don’t. We need to calm down after losing a game. Shit happens.

We’re not going to win the league with that sort of devil may care attitude mate

Welcome to 1976-77 re-visited. Scoring for fun at home; decidedly average on the road.

Nah, mate, seriously, Unai is not buying that mentally at all.

I was watching Zaniolo and I think Bailey in the warmup. The first long ball attempted was about twenty yards away from Bailey. I knew he’d be shit after that.

Absolutely nothing went for Villa today. The only good thing about today was my easy drive home.

Zaniolo was very  poor today, when Bailey came on he was even worse did nothing and lost the ball most time he got it crap
Yeah Zaniolo seems to be taking the brunt of the stick but he was far from the worst player - Diaby and Watkins were both shocking as was Bailey

Christ, Unai is unhappy when we win. How do we think he is feeling after that non-event of a performance?

If you think we were bad, Liverpool are atrocious against Luton. They'll probably snatch it though with a late goal.

I wouldn't say it was quite that bad.

We kept the ball, passed it around nicely by and large, we just over-played things and tried to play that extra pass far too often whilst attempting to get through an area Forest had stuffed with bodies.

The possession is a big red herring, we didn't look like scoring all match and their keeper had it easy for the entire game. We're top of the table for home form this season, but only 13th on away games, so today was by no means a one off.

His post match interview was disappointed but pragmatic looking at the display in context of the total body of work across 12 months, and including our recent form. He certainly isn’t jumping off any bridges. It was below the standards we have set for ourselves. We played well in parts but let ourselves down with critical errors and just wastefulness when given the chance to get back in. Comparisons to the Gerrard era from some makes me laugh. The worst of Gerrard doesn’t come close to a poor performance vs Forest on the back 5 wins from 6.

As someone said earlier, it’s a good job we didn’t play in Europe this week else that would be getting 100% of the blame for this

Yes, thank god we didn't have the League Cup eh, that week off clearly did them all the good in the world.

Yeah, most of that possession was passing it around the defence or Cash / Digne turning back and playing safe.
