There was a Villa player behind the goal line hidden by the goal.

But if he's off the pitch then he is disregarded isn' he? Or did that change when I wasn't looking?

Agreed.  That's like the Arsenal goal last year and another we had from a game earlier this season (sorry can't remember the oppositiob) but I guess refs are being fairly consistent with not disallowing a goal but I don't see how it's fair on the keeper
