Is Carlos going to be back for this?

If so I'd go:

Martinez

Konsa Carlos Torres Digne

Bailey Tielemans Luiz McGinn Zaniolo

Duran

Carlos hasn’t been a disaster by any means but there’s nothing that’s impressed me about him so far
Although I wouldn’t say that to his face obviously

He's still only played 6(?) games for us and we're going to need him. He's never going to get bullied on the ball like Torres does though.

Yes that’s true it’s early days yet
I just like new players to be absolutely brilliant world beaters straight away

Does anyone know what the sub situation is in the ECL? Same as the premier league?  Obviously more subs is an advantage to clubs like us, but hopefully it's similar to the league.

Still five subs in three blocks. You can name more substitutes though (twelve I think) and you have to name two keepers so we're ahead of the game there

I thought he looked really good at Burnley at both ends, at corners you're not bumping him out of his stride if he's attacking the ball are you? We're lacking that without Mings as well.

Thought he played very well at Burnley for his first 90mins+ for us in 12 months, granted they were/are limited. Injured about 20 mins into the next game which is unfortunate and worrying. Granted he is slow on the turn but we badly miss a physical presence without Mings that he makes up for.

Or have bought tickets with no intention of going, wrongfully thinking their booking history would remain intact

Am hoping there won't be too many Liverpool fans in the William Garland, Caterham Thu night so that they'll be able to show TNT2 on at least one of their many screens...

As for comparing it to the Intertoto which was a two bob pre season qualifier for the UEFA Cup, people really need to get a grip.

I must admit certain peoples dismal doomongering about this competition is getting right on my wick.

Well said. Yeah it’s a load of bollocks.

Agreed, it's the same sort of nonsense I've seen on SHA about it since we qualified for Europe.

They should just rename themselves Sour Grapes FC

Trouble is, Martyn, WBA already have that name registered.

Imagine… maybe they should penalize em with a -1 or 2 game penalty off their history. How much were the tickets?
