It is a genuine headache. The Bailey/Diaby Leverkusen relationship seems alive and kicking at VP. D Luiz & Kamara can't be split up, at least not for any other player in this conundrum. Following on from reports from midweek I really want to see Zaniolo start. But you can not drop one of the very best all-round midfielders in the country.

I'm a big fan of him but I think Kamara has been a bit below par so far this season. He's also been away with France so I don't see the harm in giving him a breather before europe starts.

Given he had his bad injury in this game last season and missed two months and we won the majority of those fixtures in his absence I don't really see the gameplan falling apart that much.

Luiz must've played 50 + times for us as DM so bring him a little deeper to try to keep tabs on the excellent Eze and bring in Tielemans to link the play in the 8 position.

Or keep Luiz where he is and sprinkle some Donk magic on the VP turf once more. He hadn't played for months when he started v Newcastle last season and was brilliant on the day. Palace will be physical in midfield with that Doucoure trying to kick anything that moves so would suit him you'd suspect.

If we're already nervous about resting regular players for Crystal Palace at home then we're probably not going to do that well this season compared to expectations.

I like the idea of Bailey coming on for Zaniolo on 70 minutes. This after the Italian has smashed in a couple of goals from 40 yards out and tenderized their left back. Bring in Bailey who would have had a long trip back from Jamaica to finish the job and help with a couple more goals.

Agree with this. He had less squad choice last season granted, but Emery seemed to like sticking with largely the same team, but would nearly always make some subs around 60 mins. The amount of times Digne seemed to come on for Moreno about 60 something.

This is where PWS posts saying Digne never came on earlier than 80 mins or something 😂 perception and all that.

              Martinez

Cash    Konsa  Diego    Digne

    McGinn  Luiz  Tielemans

        Diaby     Zaniolo

            Watkins

I would like to see  both Tielemans and Zaniolo given a starting spot on Saturday.  I think it is time to look at a few different options. Have Luiz sit a little deeper with both McGinn and Tielemans either side with both Diably and Zaniolo interchanging on the left and right.

2-0

Watkins Zaniolo

Tenderized! Love it. Hope BE does too.

Still a couple of hundred tickets left.

Those will be the tickets of ST holders who can't go released by Villa.

There were literally about a dozen left when i looked the other day.

I am hoping the international 'break' has not impacted us too much. Of those who are really first choice, only Martinez has had a long trek for the World Cup games with Argentina, although Bailey played twice for Jamaica and Duran came on as sub twice for Colombia.

A bit closer to home, McGinn played twice, Cash played the last game for Poland, whilst Tielemans and Olsen were the others that played. Kamara and Torres didn't get off the bench for France and Spain respectively.
