the way we play we will be favourites to beat 11/19. It's the other 8 that we will have challenges with, especially with the high line and needing to be clinical up front. Right now of the newer challengers for top 4, Brighton seem to be getting most things right as a unit. Emery won't change his approach. Our players need to be better and less naive against better opponents. That said, we will beat Palace. They're decent. We are better than them, especially at home and on the back of a heavy loss.

Brighton tend to lose games against middle of the table sides, like West Ham. I actually called that so wished I had put a bet on!

I think we can pick up home wins against almost any team this season (even Man City). I also think we are more than capable of results away against West Ham, Spurs, Chelsea and even Man Utd. I don't fear Brighton.

Early days, and a makeshift defence sadly. However Emery got the Mings Konsa partnership from 'rocky' to 'rock solid' after a dodgy patch, and I see no reason why he can't do the same with Torres and Carlos. Especially when Moreno and Konsa are the fulbacks (never thought I'd say that about Konsa).

Both Konsa and Mings could turn and run though. Great for the high line if ever the offside trap didn't work, by the end of last season that was rare enough in fairness. Torres and Carlos have no recovery pace so don't think the same offside line will work without Mings.

3-1 win.

goals from Parker, Froggatt and Regis.

Solako to get theirs.

I'll go 3-0, Yorke, Staunton and Froggatt with Unai on the pitch with a microphone before the game telling the crowd that we're trying our best to sign Dean Saunders from Liverpool.

With Moreno back in training, I wonder if we'll see this.

               Martinez
Cash   Konsa    Torres    Digne
       Kamara    Luiz
McGinn                  Moreno
       Diaby    Watkins

McGinn                  Bailey
       Diaby    Watkins

I think Emery will play Bailey again. He has been better in the home games

"When Big Ron Met Unai" coming to Pravda TV February 2024, the week of our League Cup Final appearance. Should be interesting!

I'm always fascinated when people are more pessimistic than me as I see my self as very much the 'there's fuck all in my glass' type but if you don't think we're going to win at home against a bottom half team then when do you think we will? Obviously it could happen, but expect it? Nah.

Would prefer Carlos to Torres if fit. Not sure who our alternatives to Bailey are in Ramsey's absence but simply has to be someone else. Maybe a 4312 with Zaniolo at 10. Three in midfield hasn't suited likes of Luiz or McGinn before though.
