Martinez
Cash   Konsa    Torres    Digne
       Kamara    Luiz
McGinn                  Bailey
       Diaby    Watkins

I think Emery will play Bailey again. He has been better in the home games

Would prefer Carlos to Torres if fit. Not sure who our alternatives to Bailey are in Ramsey's absence but simply has to be someone else. Maybe a 4312 with Zaniolo at 10. Three in midfield hasn't suited likes of Luiz or McGinn before though.

Not a chance he’s leaving Torres out, even if Carlos is fit.
I’d play Zaniolo instead of Bailey, having McGinn and Diaby wide.

The problem with leaving Bailey out is generally home he's usually effective. It's away that it doesn't seem to work.

I'd start with the team that started against Everton, if fit.

3-1 win.

goals from Parker, Froggatt and Regis.

Solako to get theirs.

I'll go 3-0, Yorke, Staunton and Froggatt with Unai on the pitch with a microphone before the game telling the crowd that we're trying our best to sign Dean Saunders from Liverpool.

Sanders.

Or even Sarnders.

I'd go with Hookey's line-up except I'd switch McGinn and Zaniolo - SJM is not effective on the left.

Same, it just doesn't quite seem to work on the left for McGinn.

It feels a good time to freshen up though.

Most of our squad have been travelling this week so I'm happy Zaniolo has got some decent game time under his belt for Italy.

He should be good for an hour. I'd also consider starting Tielemans for this given we will have 60 + possession with how Palace will set up.

It's no good us extending our squad if there's reluctance to make 2-3 changes this early in the season and with a very busy schedule approaching. And also how bad we were in our last match.

Think we'll do enough to edge this 2-1 and continue the brilliant home winning run.

Yeah I agree with that, but can we afford to pick week after week a player who is only ever going to do something in half those games, and even then it's just the chance he'll do something.

*dons tin hat* I don't get the Bailey hate. At VP he's deployed to do a job, and he does it, to my eyes anyway, very effectively. He constantly ties up two or even three defenders, and his movement off the ball never lets a back line settle. I love him at VP, and I'm hoping to see him on the right and Zaniolo in Ramsey's place absolutely rip these to bits on Saturday.

So you drop McGinn?

I know between us there's probably a billion posts from me about how SJM isn't good enough to play further forward, but he is. Saturday, I'd go a kind of 4411 of

Martinez

Cash
Konsa
Torres
Digne

Bailey
Douglas Luiz
Kamara
Zaniolo

McGinn

Watkins
