Disappointing considering we finished above these last season.

Eh? They finished six points clear in the end.

Liverpool will be going for 2nd strongly, we can still finish top 6 regardless of today as we have enough in the squad to beat most of the bottom half home and away and that's as important as results v top sides.

We’ve been set up in the exact opposite way you’d expect against 3 really quick forwards. It’s not the first time. We’ll create more opportunities but we’ll concede even more.

Schmeichel giving Peter Walton Dermot Gallagher pelters. Good lad.

Should be giving our defence pelters. Been very poor

Not suprised by this, playing a high line against this mob was looking for trouble. That said if we had taken our chances we could have been level.

Let’s hope that wasn’t our good half.

He has a good point as well. How many VAR people think from the goalkeepers view of the ball when deciding offside.

I think Liverpool will be top 2, so one of the very hardest games of the season. Bit I’d like us to give it more of a go.

For the chance I just think Ollie was expecting Bailey to reach it first so simply wasn't set to strike it properly. It happens. Was another fantastic cross from Digne.

McGinn was the bigger miss, have to be getting it on target at least.

I'd definitely put that one down as a miss for Bailey rather than Watkins, as soon as Bailey went for it it became a really tough chance for Watkins.
Watkins should be busting his balls to get that cross. He should be kicking Bailey into the back of the net with the ball.

This is my thinking, demolish anything in the way and make sure it goes in.

This game has come too early in the season for us. The players and the new players haven’t settled in together yet. We still look a threat on the attack but are very vulnerable at the back. As good as he can be offensively, Digne has never been the best defensively and he doesn’t have Mings behind him to cover that - Torres can’t perform that role and Moreno will be the same position when he comes back. So we’re going to have to have a rethink about the set up for these bigger games because the left side of defence is really vulnerable without Mings.

Worry about Carlos. I hope he’s not another one we can’t rely on to stay fit.

Liverpool didn’t seem to have any problems with their new players

They’re coming in to a more settled side generally.
