I know it's about more than just ticket pricing for some people but is it really such a bad thing if some people who usually go to every single game in a season have to miss a couple of cup games, which then allows people who don't usually get to go to games to get tickets? Maybe people willing to pay £35 for a ticket are willing because they know they'll only get to two or three games, but it doesn't make them any less of a supporter.
A matchday ticket for Palace in the Doug Ellis is £65?
So it's a bit of a bargain for non season ticket holders.
But this isn't EPL. It will be 2 fringe teams playing i'd imagine , the likes of Olsen and Chambers and god knows what dregs Everton will throw up
Given the size of our waiting list, I have no doubt that we will fill those seats though.

The more successful a club becomes the more expensive it will be to go and watch them.  The more upwardly mobile Villa become the prices are going to reflect that.
we are not a london club or a north west tourist club , we are a middle income working fan base on the whole yet we are being charged top dollar
I think Dave's point still stands.

I think we should go with a strong line-up for this, considering the rest of the draw. It could really open up in the next round.

Team strengths on both sides may well be halved but so will the cost of a ticket and BE is right, these tickets will go to very willing people on the waiting list.

The prices haven’t been halved, they’re about 20% cheaper than the Brighton game. Half price would have been about the right level for the League Cup 3rd round.

Agreed. My uncle and I were thinking of heading over for the Everton game, as a cup tie to get into the last 16 appealed to me more than a regular Pl game against say, Palace. The cost of the match tickets (which I think are reasonable) didn't come into it, but the fact that the Holiday Inn in the city centre was £336 for the (Tuesday) night definitely did.

The sight loss charities are getting together for their annual humding  (Visionary Annual Conference, 27 and 28 September 2023) so centre hotels are expensive. HH Express at Star City may be  more reasonable.

Apparently they're getting Danny Cadamarteri out of retirement and as a gift to Villa fans, also asking Carl Tiler, who represented both clubs, how his fitness is currently.

Was going to say Adrian Heath always has his boots with him too, except juist seen he's manager of Minnesota in the MLS.
