Damari Gray has made a bit of a tit of himself.

I see this has been confirmed for Wednesday, September 27th at 19:45.

So that's:

(A) Legia Warsaw Sept21st (Thur)
(A) Chelsea Sept24th (Sun)
(H) Everton Sept 27th (Wed)
(H) Brighton Sept 30th (Sat)
(H) Zrinjski Oct 5th (Thur)

That schedule underlines how we needed to be thinking about requiring a much bigger, more powerful squad.

5 matches in 14 days.

Just hope Carlos and Moreno are back and Dendonker is up to speed by then too.  Might have to play him at centre back at some point.

It's funny, not that long ago I remember posting two completely different starting 11s and talking about how technically we could field two completely different teams between competitions, and still be competitive. I'm not sure we could do that now.

Turns out we could still name 2 starting 11s, when Moreno and Ramsey are back, numbers wise anyway. Not sure there's a way of making them 2 functioning competive lineups though.....

Martinez        Olsen

Cash               Chambers
Konsa              Carlos
Pau                  Lenglay
Digne               Moreno

Diaby               Bailey
McGinn            Kamara
Luiz                  Zaniolo
Tielemans      Ramsey
Donk                Kellyman

Watkins           Durán

Duran, Dendoncker, Bert (if fit), Chambers will all start if fit in league cup. Hopefully Moreno and maybe even Ramsey will be o.k by then as ideal game to give them 60 minutes to get up to speed.

Guess it's a bit like the O'Neill years now. We know some of the backup players are capable to come in after months of inactivity given Traore winning us the game with that brilliant goal at Leicester and Donk being great v Newcastle but 4-5 of them thrown into the starting 11 together at same time is the question mark.

That said Everton have Luton at home on the following Saturday so goes without saying that is a monumental must win for them (especially for Dyche) so they will be putting out a second string themselves and we know how bad their regular 11 is.

You could add an 11th player?

There is 11 on the 2nd one. Added Donk to the 1st.

We'll only need ten to beat Everton, anyway.

Agent Young is the 11th man for that one.

So if you add in Bert as no 23 and Tim as 24 we don't actually have such a bad squad numbers wise.

£36.50 for the League Cup 3rd round is clearly a typing error. Best not to buy until that’s corrected.
