I’d be resting Watkins for this.

And SJM, maybe stick the Donk in if he's ready to play.
A rekindling of Donk and Olsen partnership for a cup tie could be quite devastating.

Bailey instead of Young for me but I agree otherwise. and I'd get Donk on for as much of the 2nd half as he can manage to give Doug a rest. From there if we can rest McGinn and Cash for 30mins I'd do that as well.

I'd keep Carlos and Pau together because they need to keep developing their partnership in there.

Emery will pick a fairly strong side , he will respect the opponents who will have new manager bounce plus they are bringing thousands of fans down. I'm up for another 5-0 it will be good for momentum.

We will definitely play a weaker side.

Ozzy Osborne

Tony Hancock
Sandy Richards
Bob Carolgees
Spit the dog

Apache Indian &
Mooen Ali in the double pivot

Bev Bevan
Jeff Lynne
Roy Wood

Shefali* up front.

* one for Woodhall there.

Is Nigel Kennedy injured Paulie?

Apache Indian & Mooen Ali in the double pivot is a bold move, and might just come off.

Very worried about Tony Hancock at R.B. and I fear we may get rinsed down that flank.

Well Mo can certainly spin around to replicate what McGinn offers but I think you need to find room for Woakes to swing it in from out wide as well.

I'd put David Bradley at Cb,  John Taylor DD up front, he'd be hungry like  wolf for a goal

Yeah, thats my thinking regarding the CB pairing too.

And agreed on Dendoncker. If he's fit enough, then maybe he gets a start for Douglas Luiz.

Gotta have Josh Feeney, Kerr Smith & Rory Wilson on the bench too. Give each of them 15-20 mins at the end of the game. They are young, but if we are looking at developing top talent earlier, then this game is perfect for them.

Maybe even give Ben Broggio a bit of match day experience instead of a third keeper. He's nowhere near ready to play first team football, but to be in & around the match day squad will help prepare him for it when he is old enough. If he gets there, obviously.

Might be a bit of overkill in academy players, but this tie is over, so its the perfect opportunity for a little extra development early on in their careers, before we send them out on loan.

Bring Stephen 'Tea-Towel' Duffy on with 15 minutes to go to put the icing on the cake.

Probably (I think Bev Bevan as well).

However, given that Moeen is on the list, I think this is people from Birmingham rather than Villa supporters.

Unless anyone can remember Hancock standing on the Holte

With our current injury list picking a "2nd" team is not as easy as forst thought.

Is the Donk actually alive? If so you would think he needs minutes.

Olsen - or even the next in line

Cash - as i dont think he will start vs 'The Mighty Reds YNWA'
Carlos - Change at HT for Feeney
Torres - Change at HT for Chambers
Bevan

Donk
Tielemans

Bailey
Mcginn - Change for O'Reilly
Kelliman

Duran - Change for Patterson

Flesh out the bench with
Kids
Watkins
Diaby

I'd be going a bit stronger.  I know it's "only" Hibernian and we're 5-0 up, but  I'd still rather send out a signal that we ain't messing about here.

Olsen

Cash
Carlos
Torres
Digne (Moreno's back soonish so don't think he needs to be rotated right now)

Donk

Traore
Tielemans
SJM

Bailey
Watkins

Bring on a few kids - thinking the likes of Tim Iroegbunam or Duran who are relatively close to the first team rather than random ones like Feeney - in the second half if we've properly killed the game off, but I'd be challenging the team to get a double-figure aggregrate score, with no goals conceded.

Yes, Mo is definitely a Liverpool fan. Lovely bloke otherwise though.
