It's just fancunter. We sing the national anthem at them, they throw bricks at our players and staff. That's what fancunter is. We accuse Liverpool fans of being 'always the victim', Burnley fans hire a plane to deliver racist messages. It's all just fancuntery, you woke snowflake weirdos.Think there is a bit of a difference between singing the national anthem at a match to wind Scots and scousers up, and throwing bricks at the windows of a team coach as it motors down a main road isn't there? Why do we want to 'wind up' fans of other clubs?

If we can produce even a few of those magical moves at Liverpool next week it will mean Unai's revolution is the real deal.We might have to modify it v the top teams, but I feel we can be a lot more confident of putting away lesser teams these days.In the last five seasons, and probably longer but CBA checking, if you won every game against the teams who finished in the bottom half you'd only have needed at most another three points to get into Europe. That sort of consistency has always let us down.

Just ignore it don't get riled by it.
The BBC has an agenda mon ami, Burnley folk in the past have voted for the BNP, with very good reason at the time imo, they voted for Brexit, also with good reason, it was noted that many Burnley fans booed the players taking the knee before the City game, the BBC does not approve of any dissent towards this BLM inspired political gesture, so communities like Burnley will be denigrated at every opportunity by the BBC. And as you say, who knows if the idiots were even Burnley fans, it was miles away from the ground, but the football club will not be given the benefit of the doubt by the BBC or the media.
My old man has never said be a city fan and I've never told him bollocks, he's a ******. Maybe it's just a bit fun and a bit silly and a bit odd and that's exactly what Britain is.

However, I was about five at the time, so did not reply my telling him bollocks, you're a ******. I probably just laughed in his face.I reckon that hurt more.

It was an Eng/Sco thing. The *insert rival* gets battered everywhere they go, was sung around it. I don't think anybody was considering Hibs as some Poundland Celtic and Villa fans cos playing as some grotesque Rangers gimps. I get you're debating in good faith, but these are still false equivocations. As for why wind somebody up. Why sing songs at all at football? Do you sing anywhere else in public? Do you shout aloud elsewhere in public? Why jump up and down at Turf Moor when you score? Why find 7 minutes at Wembley as excruciating as opening up your exam results or something life changing/affirming? Why take time off work for a game? Why devote hundreds and thousands of hours to talking about football on a website? Why do you cheer on a goalkeeper playing for a different country in a different continent, just because he plays for your club? Why contort your morality to defend Grealish and his antics, just because he played for you and was your best player, all the while he's in a single flipflop? Why do you loathe your neighbours? Why do you find somebody talking ignorantly of your club deeply irritating? Why do you believe in equality but have no time for Brummie Reds? I mean there are academic answers, but you belong to something bigger than yourself and humans like that. You're also saturated in Christianity in the West and football's 19th century origins are muscular Christianity given an outlet; so culturally in places like the UK and Argentina, you're socially predisposed for this stuff. My old man has never said be a city fan and I've never told him bollocks, he's a ******. Maybe it's just a bit fun and a bit silly and a bit odd and that's exactly what Britain is.
