Burnley vs Aston Villa pre-match thread
« on: August 24, 2023, 01:18:07 PM »
Hyphen added to thread title due to popular demand.

Kick off - Sunday 2pm.

We've scored nine goals in our last two games and conceded none. A Partridge-esque example of bouncing back and now we head to Burnley for a tough away game which I think we'll win by at least three goals. 6 points from 9 would be a decent start.

Come on Villa!

It may be tougher than we expect but we should have enough for a win.

Yeah, I think they'll give us more of a fight than Everton or Hibs did, but we should get the win. I can see it being close for maybe the 1st half but we'll break their spirit eventually and finish with a couple of goals.

If anything else, our match fitness should be far superior. We've played three times since their last game ( which was also their first and only game so far of the season).

2-1 win. I reckon they'll give us a tough game.

Tougher game than the last two but I hope for a 0-2 win.

I’d agree with this. We should have too much for them but they’re a different team under Kompany and they’ll be up for it in their first home game since promotion.

They played Man U in a friendly yesterday and won 3-0

They already played at home opening Friday night v Ci£y 0-3
