It’s a nickname that comes from a ridiculously stupid story that now forms the basis of too much of my online presence. I have considered changing my name by deed poll. 🤣🤣

I don't want to jinx it but I almost wish we could skip ahead to the Liverpool game and see how we get on against a better side now we've burned off that horrible Newcastle performance.

Too late, jinxed it. Burnley will be a tough away game on Sunday.

It will be . We need to be much sharper than we were tonight. I can see why Emery wasn't happy at HT.
(Burnley beat Man U today 3-0 at Carrington in a friendly)

Well it would be hard for them to provide less opposition than Everton and Hibs did.

I don’t think the gap between leagues is that stark, Celtic would not get ripped apart by Everton or Sheffield United. (e.g.) Over two legs Burnley needed added time to get past Aberdeen a few years ago.

But the gap between the Glasgow teams and the rest of the Scottish premier league is wider than ever before. I mean! Brendon Rodgers left for Leicester, with Celtic on the brink of doing an (utterly ludicrous) treble treble.

The gulf we saw tonight is basically two gulfs, the top seven of the premier league and the rest, and the gulf between the top two of the Scottish premier league and the rest.
I make it three gulfs out of this or a gap and two gulfs if you like. Anyway we where very fluid today as a team I thought , a pleasure to watch 11 really good footballers in the starting line up playing together as a tight team - best I ve seen this side of the summer break from us. Hibs looked a proper team up for it , champoinship level I thought. Tielemans and Traore and even Olsen holding also high as level as the starters when coming on, Cash and Duran a level below I thought. Special mention to Carlos who looked sperb and the back three looked comfortable, Konsa impressive as RB, Torres might have a little bit lack of speed.  Watkins got to show what he can do - nice. Had a stream with bbc Scotland - commentators did sound a bit like Alex Ferguson.

The hatred really is still there isn’t it.

To be fair to Johnson - not something I like to do, as he's a prick - I don't see much wrong with what he said there.

Did I hear the commentator say something about him complaining to the match officials about Emery's positioning in the technical area, or something?

Love the commentators banging on about how big Villa are. Proper respect

A ‘behemoth’, no less :)

Am assuming we all had the same one, too. I thought they were actually pretty good. Well, better than the dross we normally get, certainly refreshing to hear differing opinions and less of the usual predictable biased bilge.

UE just on SSN said Emi Martinez has a slight injury, hence why Olsen played the second half. Sounded more precautionary than anything. We don't want yet another injury problem!

Commentators were very good, as has been mentioned. Knowledgeable and balanced - compare to the utter jingoistic shit show that BT put on any time there’s a European game.

I agree with this. It s the sound of the speech I refer to , like people coming from same part of a country sound alike - like the same dialect if you have that word. We learned English at school over here so my use of the language might do somtimes that I dont get what I want to say across in good way ish :)
