We did to Everton what top sides have been doing to us for years. Turned up, rolled them over and tickled their bellies, all while rarely leaving second gear.
The term ‘funeralling’ is a bit edgy and can be funny if not overused, as after all death comes to us all.
Most damning thing about Everton is how many of their players would you want in this squad? Pickford in place of Olsen and then it's a bit of a struggle.

It only exists as a verb on H&V as far as I know. If people are going to get upset about it then we may have to stop using terms such as 'batter' too. Indeed, even 'beating' a team or traffic could trigger someone who has been subject to physical violence if we think about it. Crikey!
I think we might be agreeing. Although I’ve heard the term in lots of places outside of here. One of my seven a side team mates used to use it regularly.

It is a figurative expression which was used by an erstwhile, and very likeable poster called 'Sarunyu' whose English seemed to be that of the Southeast Asian variety.* On this forum it has become an amusing synonym for 'battering' or 'murdering' a team. Really nothing that should get anybody all offended. Unlike talk of rape of course.* He/she/they would write stuff like "I am sure we will funeral Bolton because we have Mellberg who is hard in the taggle." And stuff like that.
