Thought Jhon had been a bit heavy with his touch for his goal, but he recovered well.
yeah handed to him on a plate but his 1st touch was that of a rapist

Is there really any need for that?

NO
Sorry , its an old fashioned phrase . Should of just said his first touch was heavy

Actually his first touch was good to ease it past the defender, his second was bad but it looked like either his boot or the ball hit a bit of turf. His third touch to slot it past that ass hole in the Everton goal was class.

Only downer on the day was the 2 injuries, especially Phil's, otherwise the perfect day, big Jhon opened his account for us, Bailey fully justified his selection, a clean sheet, looks like we might have found a decent penalty taker and most of all SJM was immense today.

Anyone else’s season ticket go red when trying to enter? Sent to the queue with other ST holders. Not impressed.

Just because someone has said it before doesn’t mean you have to repeat it. You’re not five, I assume.

Amazing to get back into winning ways. It really does lift the mood.

Didn’t manage to catch the game but just the highlights. Bailey and Diaby looked lovely. You’d hate to have that pair running at you.

I have seen a couple of posts on this site saying along the lines of "We are going to funeral Everton"

I think thats in bad taste too.

Sure, old-fashioned. Like 'old sport' or 'thruppence ha'penny'. Remember well the first time my old grandad turned to me, pointed out Ronnie Johnson and said 'see him, son? He's got what we used to call "the touch of a rapist".' Brings a tear to my eye even now.

It is a pretty well known saying from back in the day, thankfully not used so much these days.

Yeah me and the wife. Trinity Road. And the fella in front with a paper ticket - after his two kids had already gone in.

In a weird way I suspect Digne’s performance today might not have impressed Emery. He chooses to cross every time (today they were brilliant) but we don’t have a target man to aim at.

With the freedom of the left flank he should have taken on their defence more.

Emphasis on the weird as with DCL/Carroll up top we’d have scored six. A nice problem to have I suppose.

There was a kerfuffle in front of us for upper north and a big queue had formed in front of supervising steward however we had no problem with 3 tickets.
