Is Bailey injured? I thought it looked like a bump that he would have run off but he was due to come off.

A mention for Bailey too, most of us moaning about him starting but a goal, an impressive assist and a generally good performance otherwise. Certainly showed he’s a good bet for home games when we’re likely to be on the front foot but I’m still unsure he’s a wise choice away for the most part. If he keeps that up he’s got a part to play in a long season.

A stroll in the park. Nice game for Pau to get his first start in and Carlos looked commanding albeit against a powder puff attack.
Wasn’t pleased when Duran can on instead of Archer, which made me think the writing is in the wall for him. Then with one of the worst touches you’re likely to see Duran scores after a minute.
Shame for Phil.
Good to get 3 points but we should have scored a few more really.

As an Everton fan, I saw some promising signs. We are just 15 players short of having a good squad.

He was limping while walking off at the end of the game.

Could be another broken bone in his foot, like Jacob Ramsey had.

Similar fouls for each injury.

Thought Jhon had been a bit heavy with his touch for his goal, but he recovered well.

I didn't see the game so can anyone confirm that a round of applause was held for that poor Everton lad that was killed at work on the new ground last week?

Is there really any need for that?

A great result but we dont look as fluid and good as last part of last season (yet) I think. Everton looked so bad that the result may be more part of that than we where excellent. I got the impression that we where not ready when playing Valencia and did the same at Newcastle, today didnt take it totaly away. Might be down to injuries but Diaby is as good as Buendia, Torres as Mings and Tielemans as Ramsey and Digne as Moreno imo so Unai (should) have found a way by now. Burnley and Anfield coming up will be interesting. (Chuk scoring for Chelsea as I m typing and I dont like it)
