TV, I’ve been around football long enough to know you should never underestimate anyone that plays at the same level. Look back to see how many were saying we were going to win by this margin and that margin against Newcastle. I love the Villa but am also a realist. Was hoping for a draw on Saturday and, am going for a win v Everton but won’t count my chickens until I witness it on Sunday.
I’m also bearing in mind that we’ve had shit injuries to a few of our influential players and, keeping fingers crossed that their replacements will perform at a good level. Whatever the outcome, I’ll still be there supporting the lads for the rest of the season and beyond.

Carlos and Torres both have almost no Premier League experience, so to chuck them into together would be a big risk.
If that's how it works, should England take more of a Premier League approach in international games where the opponents' central defenders have no PL experience or is debuting foreigners' supposed inability to cope all down to differences in the refereeing or the weather or something else unique to England? And why do they do fine playing against Villa early in the season?

Everyone is entitled to how they feel today. But I won’t let one game shake the confidence I had coming into the season. It is also obviously a massive blow losing two influential players from last season. But overall we are still very much a strong group with a top manager. Last year having been beaten by Arsenal and Leicester conceding loads of goals Emery found a way to quickly correct that and the odd game aside had us go on an incredible run to secure from a position literally nobody thought it possible. So yes today is shit because of yesterday. But we will bounce back. By the time the window shuts we will have strengthened the squad, and we will set about having a brilliant season domestically and abroad. Maybe I will have egg on my face when we look back on this but I don’t think so.

Well I’m hoping they won’t be able to find their shooting boots because they’ll be forced to defend so much. I think some people were ludicrously over optimistic with the game against Newcastle and I now see the opposite happening here. I won’t go as far as TV on this, partly because he’s become a Jonah! They need to be respected, but if we get near our level we should win.

Unai will rip them all a new one. We’ll bounce back with style. 27-0.

When will Ramsey and Moreno be back??

September

I think Moreno could sneak in end of August but hard to see us just throwing him into Liverpool away so he'll be more sub minutes and then hopefully ready to start v Palace after two week international break.

Think we might struggle with Dycheball without the strength and aerial ability of Mings.

I think it's touch and go if Calvert-Lewin is fit for them. We should be able to deal with Maupay, but DCL against Torres and Carlos might cause problems with his height.

Carlos will eat him alive and spit his bones out in the direction of the traveling Toffees.
