Yes but "Prematch Thread" sounds like a cracking name for a band.

I've seen the tribute band Pre-match thread.

I'm not going to predict this until Fri/Sat as my mood is still affected by yesterday so i would post an irrational scoreline

Crap poll as well. It's obviously only a scorchio if we score.

Fucking hell. 7 people think Everton are going to win. Everton? At Villa Park. Amazing how shaken confidence becomes after a defeat

So, defensive choices then.

Central defence:

Konsa - Torres
Carlos - Torres
Konsa - Carlos

Or Konsa right back, Carlos - Torres

There are worries for me with all the combinations. Carlos and Torres both have almost no Premier League experience, so to chuck them into together would be a big risk. But then can Konsa be trusted without Mings to organise the defence and lead the unit?

Also both Torres and Carlos look quite slow, so is having a couple of plodders in the middle going to make playing the high line even riskier?

Our record v Everton since promotion is 6 wins and two draws.

So we match up very well against them regardless of respective form.

They hardly have anything upfront and Michael Keane in the backline so we should be winning this 3-1.

I think we'll win but Dyche will fancy his chances. They played well yesterday and just didn't score through a combination of some poor finishing, poor officiating and excellent goalkeeping. Dyche is also no mug, and will try to expose our weaknesses.

Having said all that, still think we'll win 2-0.

Think the communication between Carlos and Torres might be a bit better. so would go with them, if we cant test them at home to Everton it's all the one. Neal Maupay up front for them so we wont need a speedster to maintain the high line anyway. Pick a team ready for a battle and make examples of a few of them for their performances in the Newcastle debacle. Most importantly, return the team to the shape that was so successful last season. If the Donk is fit then Id put him back in, if not Kamara sent back in with his ears ringing.

------Martinez
Cash, Carlos, Torres, Digne
-----Luiz, Donk
McGinn-----Tielemans
Diaby, Watkins

Olsen, Chambers, Konsa, Kamara, Coutinho, Archer, Philogene (any more due back from injury?)
