It's only tough when you haven't got the players and the manager to do well. We have. 1-3, Howay and shite.

Us 3-1 them.

Watkins, Luiz and Diaby.

Seconded. Not sure who will score, but 3-1 us, off to a flier.
Thirded, with the third goal coming late on the break when we’re under huge pressure.

I even agree with Paul’s scorers.

They then have Man City and Liverpool, can see a poor start for them and pressure building before they pull it round.

Feels like a 6 pointer on the first day of the season. I've gone for a draw and I'd probably be happy with it.

I think this has draw written all over it, which I am very much fine with. 1-1. We'll go 1-0 up early in the second half and they'll equalise with about 15 minutes to go.

Yeah, I suspect the same.

Would have been nicer to have started with an easier fixture first weekend, but this should at least be extremely watchable.

One of the games I can't stand. I hate playing them up there.

Buendia to see red and cost us the game. It's what I saw in the tea-leaves this morning, sadly  :(

I don’t think he’s anywhere near starting at the moment. McGinn, Diaby, possibly even Bailey and Coutinho ahead of him.

Time to reverse that 6-0 disaster back in 2010. Watkins and Diaby hattricks

Wasn't he the oustanding individual in the US game vs Newcastle? I think he's certainly near or near enough starting.

He was, but that's been his only decent performance in pre-season, he was abysmal against Walsall and Fulham and mostly anonymous against Brentford and Lazio, with the addition last night of him having one of his temper tantrums and risking getting sent off in a friendly.

I'd have Philogene ahead of him right now, along with the names above. I'd nudge Bailey slightly ahead of him because last night there was a bit of chemistry between Bailey and Diaby which I think could be useful to us at times.
