I know he's a Villa cult hero, but that book must have rather limited general appeal otherwise, surely?

How many would he expect to sell?  A couple of hundred?

It's interesting, purely from seeing Darren's entries on the "What Are You Reading Thread?" the litany of journeymen players who write their memoirs.

I guess publishers know they have a captive audience and even if it's niche (largely middle-aged, male, passionate fan of a particular club and happy to spend disposable income on things related to their club); there's still enough buyers within that niche to make it worth the publisher's while, the player's while and (let's be honest), the ghost-writer's time.

It's a similar business model that D. Woodhall mined for years, making his millions in the process.

I'll wait for the Daz Woolley review first. Even if it's only one word and effusive.

I'll do my best lol

I'd read it. I enjoyed Garryz Thompson's and was bit disappointed by Tony Daleys.

He looks a bit like Barry Chuckle on steroids on the cover. Always thought he was great though, i will get the book at some point.

Daley's is probably the worst autobiography I've ever read. It was just so dull.

He spent more time on about training and getting fit than he did stuff on the pitch including some of the screamers he scored.

Until they weren't. I've never known a manager go from sexy football to turgid crap so quickly.

Anyone remember him appearing on The Big Breakfast with Zig & Zag? Bit random to say the least.

Anyone remember his rather politically incorrect comments on the '93-94 season review video, being interviewed about the Tranmere goal?

Not quite Ron Atkinson, but I remember even as a naive eleven year old being surprised that it had made the final cut.

He made some right wing comments on his Facebook feed a few years back, I unfollowed him so don't know whether he makes a habit of it
or whether it was a one off, which somehow I doubt.

I remember him on social media commenting on games during the relegation season - he wasn't a fan of Rudy Gestede.....

I think I heard Dean Saunders, in an after dinner speech, say that Teales wife and BFR hated each other, or it might have been BFR say it was Dean and Teales wife. Drink had been taken.

BFRs first book went into detail about Mrs Teale, he said something like "did I have problems with Mrs Teale? How long have you got?" He had more issues with her than any player he.managed and that included Dalian.
