To note Emi hasn't actually refuted it, just called out having the facts before posting about it.

Everything we know leans towards him having a small problem towards the end of the season that had us managing his minutes. Unless we hear anything else I'm assuming he's been given an extended break to help with his recovery and he'll be back soon.

That's the realistic, sensible approach. But as it's Villa, the odds are he's slipped on a banana skin and done both ACL's.
