Pau Torres: “If nothing goes wrong along the way, I think I’ll see out the two years remaining on my contract, & that will mark the end of my time at Aston Villa. What I’d like is for Villarreal not to have to pay anything for me — for me to join as a free agent. It’s the club of my life & I don’t want them to spend money on signing me.”

Sell him now. I like Bassey at Fulham..."Goold finnnggerrr"

Going back home after an adventure? Nothing wrong with that, and he’s been brilliant.

I find it odd that in the current environment of SCR that so many people it seems on this forum and elsewhere on the net are cool with this. If the club weren't getting battered by financial rule after financial rule then I might think 'crack on', but we aren't in that position.

He personally signed a contract for five years. He can do what he likes at the end of that. It's not up to him to secure us a fee. If the club aren't happy, and he's given them due notice, then they can choose to try and sell him now.

What a strange way to look at supporting a football team! McGinn is also a diminishing asset.
I think every fan the last 4 years has been looking at footballers like that. It's the way of the FFP, SCR, PSR, ITV, BBC, DVD, PS3 and KFC world.

Well I haven’t, because I think it’s weird.

Just shut up, accept the death of romantic narratives in sport and instead study these excel spreadsheets.

I’d rather have Pau for two years and get zero fee than sell him for £20M now.

Sounds like every 1-2-1 I have at work.
