Timber was also a centre back when he was at Ajax

I thought he plays for the Netherlands there as well?

I hope it’s not a loading injury.
They're very common during the Xmas period.
Yes and I believe it was picked up during delivery rather than loading.

UE said Pau's injury was a 'small' one. That's 3 weeks out now. Hopefully Pau is back soon as he adds a lot of quality to the backline. We need Tyrone back ASAP as well!

I suppose there is a possibility that Pau is available either tomorrow or v Arsenal.

It’ll be Forest at the earliest I imagine. If he’s not training now, he’s not playing against Arsenal.

Another two weeks apparently, so another four games missed by the looks of it.

Has he got a knock? As much as I love Ty, I can’t understand why Pau isn’t starting. We really miss his ability to help beat the press and break the lines.

He’s so essential to how we play. Mings is brilliant and a great defender. He rarely does anything wrong to not justify selection but it’s those passes from Torres which we miss to help unlock our quick attacks. We do miss him, he must not be fully fit.

My guess is that Unai knew they would be physical so went with Mings.  But my theory doesn’t follow if Pau plays on Saturday

Yeah exactly that. Our passing really lacks imagine without him and Tielemans.

Maybe we should try him in midfield rather than at the back. Keep Ty in there for a robust defence against more physical sides as well.

Didn't make much sense to play Mings ahead of Torres last night, we knew Brighton would try and press us. Possibly worried about Wellbeck but really shouldn't have been, he was even worse than Watkins. A "little injury" as Emery might say. Hope to see him back v Newcastle.
