Yep, just post the same thing over and over again like a 10 year old. Emery gets the final say on who comes in. It's really not that hard to understand.

Well at least  you admit your intellectual intelligence cringe boy

Oh yeah its emery who negotiates the fees and wages. Well done 👏

No, we have a budget and restraints of which we have to adhere to. You know this but choose to ignore it. Honestly, it's like explaining things to a 5 year old. Villa Talk must be delighted at the moment.

There is zero chance we sign anyone that Unai doesn't green light, imo.

Intellectual Intelligence sounds like the kind of comedown party side project Brian Harvey might have launched, pre baked potatoes.

Yeah we obviously  have restrictions  thats why we managed to get sancho and linedlof on big wages here. We obviously had some room on the wages hence how we got them on.

What you embarrassingly forget to.mention it was monchi who negotiated 80m on maatsen and onana. Who decided to sign enzo and illing jr two pointless signings who have offered nothing to us.

But as you explained with your intelligence i can see why its so hard for you to understand

One more question DC (does the c stand for cringe by the way?), why were you not slagging off Monchi last season or I don't know, the season before?

There is zero chance we sign anyone that Unai doesn't green light, imo.

I suspect most of the kids or makeweights Unai isn't bothered as much with.

Although anyone who thought we decided to sign Barrenchea and Illing-Jr out of the blue does have some problems with knowing the reasonings for some transfers. Luiz don't go. We get fined and deducted points. Only way Luiz is going is with a couple of swaps included. And probably explains why Emery is not bothered about them being around.

Given nobody seems to be completely happy with our centre-back situation, wouldn't a transfer dream team have made Huijsen Ł10m of that swap and either built our defence around him or turned him into the next Ł50m PSR sacrifice?

^^ you would have thought so. It was rumoured that we wanted Soule who also ended up moving somewhere else in the same window. Perhaps those two were valued too highly for a swap and we wanted more straight cash for the books, so took two players of less value.

It doesn't feel likely to me. There's no official body saying "Dean Huijsen is worth x and Enzo Barrenechea is worth y". As we demonstrated with all our Chelsea/ Everton jiggerypokery.

The most likely scenario is the obvious one, we're not particularly good at identifying new first team players and we decided that we had the LCB position tied up for the next five years in Pau Torres, so ignored a probable better version when he was on the table.

Given we had/ have Torres and Mings for that position and he ended up at Bournemouth for a relatively modest fee probably makes you correct. I know we were under date constraints to get a deal done and the swap options were limited for whatever reason, confirmed by Soule moving later in the window, if our interest in him was genuine.
