You make a number of decent points there Ads, were it not for the fact that Monchi has form for getting it wrong and getting it wrong in this way.

If the solution is to replace him with somebody infallible then I'd suggest the recruitment pursuit might be somewhat drawn out.

For me, we hold the line. We finish the window and then we put it as far behind us as we possibly can conceive a line to be.

From Emery's programme notes, barely conceiled rage in interviews, the players collective Social Media pity party, McGinn's acerbic and accurate summary of the current state of football, to Mings choking down a desire to throttle Martinez...this window has been suffocating.

I think we could replace him with someone more competent, and it's something actually within our power to do. Not the only thing that's gone 'orribly everyone though, absolutely.

I don't think he is incompetent. I like Maatsen and Onana though. I really like Garcia too, especially on nights like tonight. I think we saw Ipswich coming for Philogene.

I generally think most of the recent comments in this thread are just plain wrong.

Mateu Alemany. Was going to leave and join then at the last second stayed at Barcelona for a few months then left them.

I’m struggling to see why he’s suddenly to blame for everything. If the requirements forced upon us was to get our house in order it’s hardly going to be a fun exercise. It likely meant we had to rely on outgoings and when the likes of Emi and Bailey didn’t happen early on it put us in a tough spot. So I can imagine it being a shit conversation with the likes of JJ who didn’t want to go (although he didn’t sign a new deal either) that he represented pure profit. How Monchi is responsible for all of it and therefore should be fired is puzzling to me.

Sorry, second time I've seen mention of us having signed Cisse....who is he? Presumably not the shite one from our relegation season or the Senegalese striker.

19 year old Senegalese defender, signed from LASK in the Austrian League and immediately loaned back to them for a season.

It would be cool to have a Pope as our Director of Football though.

Imagine the shirt sales!

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and all the necessary respects) as CEO. Moses as attacking coach. Guru Nanak as... erm, I don't know too much about him, sorry. Dietician maybe?

Buddha heading up replica kits so that the shirts fit the standard football fan.

Some Protestant guy to, I dunno, make the tea?

We'd corner the market.

Agree with nearly all that.

Except Buddha. He was thin after enlightenment.

True, but then the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and so on) probably had slightly lighter balls after consummating the marriage to his child wife.

It's all relative.

I don’t know where buck stops exactly, but someone needs to have accountability for the lack of foresight/management against the UEFA rules. Maybe we couldn’t have anticipated the exact sanction, I don’t know, but we must have/should have known we were going to struggle.

Some of that obviously is a legacy thing that goes back a bit, but we’ve got ourselves into a really bad position and it might be difficult but our management out of that has not been good. The proof is on the pitch, where we are massively short of options and the morale appears to be shocking - Mings comments are pretty alarming.

Let's  not forget garcia and barjley have beeninjyred all season thus far - and add that onana has yet again got injured.

This guys done a appalling job. Would happily see him sacked.

so it's his fault Onana, Garcia, Barkley are all injured? May as well throw Kamara in there too though nobody was complaining when we got him signed up to a new deal. Monchi was alright then.

Its his fault that he blew 50m on onana knowing he is injury prone as he had injury issues at everton. Then we sign garcia who cant get a game when we had a chance if getting a good right back in kayode who went on loan with a option to buy (low risk low wages) yet we gi for garcia who doesnt seem to be fancied either.

Thats what monchi  is to blame for
