It is strange when you sign 27 odd players over 2 years and the same 7 or 8 from Smiths/ Gerrards time still play every week

Sorry, for fairness I forgot to include Lindelof to his list of signings.

Monchi signings

Bizot
Cisse
Ozcan
Guessand
Malen
Illing Jr
Argentinian midfield guy
Onana
Maatsen
Garcia
Barkley
Rogers
Nedeljkovic
Gauci
Diaby
Torres

A litany of mistakes, over paid fee's, massive undeserved wages, kids signed and spat out in some attempt to make pennies and ultimately 1 player who get's in the first team. All of that for over £250m. We enter the last day with massive holes in the squad, unrest and a stale unprepared atmosphere of defeatism.

This guy ruined Roma, he's doing it here. He isn't good enough. He must go.

That's horrific

Tielemans. Dobbin, Philogene should be on the list.

Tielemans. Dobbin, Onana, Philogene should be on the list.

Tielamans was signed before he joined. Onana is on the list, unless he's got injured when I was writing it and declared himself unfit for it. I haven't bothered counting any of the silly FFP back and forth signings like Dobbin.

Let's  not forget garcia and barjley have beeninjyred all season thus far - and add that onana has yet again got injured.

This guys done a appalling job. Would happily see him sacked.

so it's his fault Onana, Garcia, Barkley are all injured? May as well throw Kamara in there too though nobody was complaining when we got him signed up to a new deal. Monchi was alright then.

Blaming Monchi for players getting injured utterly is ridiculous. Another cringe post.

I’m as upset as anyone but that’s bollocks when people get blamed for things they can’t control. What next? It rained so it’s Heck’s fault even though he’s gone?

We've sold £280m worth of players since January 2024 and the majority of our signings are attempts to purchase youth to gain loan fees and potentially (as appears the case with them all so far) larger transfers; Chelsea Lite. I dont particularly like this, but it is a clear strategy to supplement meagre income in comparison to others, given we have to routinely sell the family silver because UEFA said so in addition.

It's this, amongst the other wheezes, that gave us the wiggle room or the confidence at the time to bring in Asensio, Rashford etc when perhaps it may not have. Was it worth it? Fine margins and all last season.

The club has been successful with a 4th place finish and a semi final, 6th, a Quarter Final glorious defeat and another Semi Final.

This summer has been exceptionally challenging and its been rather depressing as we realise that no, we cannot actually compete. That the pressure to sell is incredibly disruptive.

I think there's is a tendency to panic and seek decisive outcomes because it simplifies the problem.
